Abstract (2. Language):
The intensive progress of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering in recent years, give rise to regenerative dentistry as well as in all branches of medicine. It has been accepted that the first regenerative treatment in dentistry was the vital amputation therapy performed by Hermann in 1952. Subsequently, various regenerative procedures such as guided tissue and bone regeneration, distraction osteogenesis, bone augmentation and regenerative periodontal tissue regeneration has been performed. Today, with the progress of tissue engineering, it was reported that the formation of an ectopic tooth tissue was achieved. The purpose of this article was to define the basic concepts of regenerative therapies and overview the endodontic regenerative procedures on the data base of recent studies in the literature.
