Abstract (2. Language):
Teacher expectation appeared in literature with a study conducted by Rosenthal and Jacobson and published in 1968. This topic is deemed very curicial with numerous investigations carried out about it ever since. The popularity of this topic stems from its efficacy in the modes of the behaviours of teacher as well as bringing about some dramatic results with respect of the students. İn this study, we took up the question of what is the teacher expectation, how it is formed, what sorts of student properties ıt is influenced by and what kinds of consequences it produces within the circle of the student
