Abstract (2. Language): 
Number of corporate universities increased in the last years. Corporates’ request special training and development programmes, and public universities are sometimes inadequate to meet this demand. Corporate universites are emerged to fullfill this demand. Corporates wants to create competetive advantage by empowerment, e-learning and learning organizational skills. Traditional training departments changed their names as corporate university. In this study, a theoretical framework about Corporate Universities and difference of these universities from training departments are presented. Finally suggestions are given for he future studies about corporate universities in Turkey.

Şirket üniversiteleri, şirketlerin özel eğitim ve geli tirme taleplerinin kamu üniversitelerinde sunulan eğitim tarafından karşılanamadığı durumlarda, bir boşluğu doldurmak için son yıllarda ortaya çıkmıştır. Geleneksel üniversitelerde verilen eğitimlerin piyasanın ihtiyacını karşılama konusuna yetersiz olması nedeniyle ve sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı yaratmak amacıyla çalı anlar ın güçlendirilmesi, bilgi teknolojilerinin kullanılması ve ö renen organizasyon olma zorunluluu ortaya çıkmı tır. Geleneksel e itim departmanları, isimlerini artık irket üniversitesi olarak de i tirmektedirler. Bu çalı mada, öncelikle irket üniversitelerinin ne oldu u ve e itim departmanlar ından farkları ile ilgili teorik çerçeve olu turulmaya çalı ılmı ve sonuç olarak Türkiye.de şirket üniversiteleri konusunda yapılacak olası çalışmalarla ilgili öneriler getirilmiştir.
