Abstract (2. Language): 
This paper gives an outline of the histological and present situation of medical mycology concerning on its various aspects such as the known pathogen fungi and new emerging oppurtunistic ones, host characteristics, current antifungals, some leading instutitons and mycologists both in our country and on the world.
