Fascia latae is a biologic graft material which has many advantages such as obtaining and preparing easily, durability, well suturing, well adaptation to the applied area, easy manipulation during surgery and low postoperative complication. Recently, it has been applied successfully in many areas including to ophthalmology, neurosurgery, heart-vessel, urogenital and orthopedic surgery. Information about to features of the fascia latae graft, obtaining, preparing, complications and its usage areas has been given in this review.

Fascia latae elde edilmesi ve hazırlanmasının kolay olması, dayanıklılığı, iyi dikiş tutması, uygulandığı bölgeye iyi adapte olması, operasyon sırasında manipülasyonun kolay olması ve postoperatif komplikasyon riskinin düşük olması gibi birçok avantajlara sahip biyolojik bir greft materyalidir. Günümüzde, oftalmoloji, nöroşirurji, kalp-damar, ürogenital ve ortopedik cerrahi gibi birçok alanda başarı ile kullanılmaktadır. Bu derlemede, fascia lata greftinin özellikleri, elde edilmesi, hazırlanması, komplikasyonları ve kullanım alanları hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir.
