European Union as a global power aims to become one of the sides of the solution on various problems in the both near and far regions. Accordingly, through crisis management missions/operations that have developed since 2003, European Union has been effective in many regions from Afghanistan to Mali/from Somalia to Georgia. In this framework, in paper, firstly conceptual dimension of crisis management system will be presented. In the next chapter, the European Union Border Assistance Mission at the Rafah Crossing Point which has gone into action in 2005 and the European Union’s Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories which has gone into action in 2006 will be examined. Thus, current situation of the European Union crisis management missions which have continued in Palestine will be dealt with.

Küresel bir güç olarak Avrupa Birliği, hem yakın hem de uzak bölgelerde birçok sorunun çözümündeki taraflardan biri olmayı hedeflemektedir. Bu doğrultuda, Avrupa Birliği 2003’ten beri geliştirilen kriz yönetim misyonları/operasyonları sayesinde Afganistan’dan Mali’ye, Somali’den Gürcistan’a kadar birçok bölgede etkin olmuştur. Bu çerçevede, çalışmada öncelikle kriz yönetim sisteminin kavramsal boyutu sunulacaktır. Sonraki bölümde ise, 2005’te faaliyetlerine başlayan Refah Geçiş Noktasında Avrupa Birliği Sınır Destek Misyonu ve 2006’da faaliyetlerine başlayan Filistin Toprakları için Avrupa Birliği Polis Misyonu incelenecektir. Böylece, Filistin’de devam eden Avrupa Birliği kriz yönetim misyonlarının mevcut durumu ele alınacaktır.
