Abstract (2. Language):
Today, one of the issues concerning educational institutions and their administrators closely is change. In order to respond to the demands of the stakeholders, educational institutions should adapt effectively to the changes in the environment. Successful completion of this process depends mostly on the existence of administrators with leadership qualities who perceive change as an indispensable part of institutional life. This article aims to define the concept of organization¬al change and summarize the issues of identification of change need, organizational change process, methods of change and resistance to change and finally focus on the role of educational leaders in the change process.

Günümüzde eğitim örgüt ve yöneticilerini yakından ilgilendiren konulardan birisi de değişimdir. Eğitim örgütlerinin kendisinden bek¬lenen görevleri yerine getirebilmeleri için çevrede meydana gelen değişme ve gelişmelere etkili olarak uyarlanmaları zorunludur. Örgütün bu uyarlanma sürecini eksiksiz ve zamanında tamamlaya¬bilmesi ise, büyük ölçüde, değişimi örgütsel yaşamın vazgeçilmez bir Özelliği olarak algılayabilen lider yöneticilerin varlığına bağlıdır. Bu makalede, örgütsel değişim kavramı tanımlandıktan sonra, değişim ihtiyacı, örgütsel değişim süreci, değişim yöntemleri ve değişime direnç konuları özetlenerek; eğitim Örgütlerindeki lider yöneticilerin değişim sürecindeki rolü üzerinde durulmaktadır.
