Abstract (2. Language):
In the current study, the influence of social identity, being experimentally manipulated by having participants think either positively or negatively about their social identity (being a univer¬sity student), on productivity is investigated for nominal and interactive dyads in a brainwriting paradigm (where they exchanged their ideas in a written format). The identities were shifted from either positive to negative identity or negative to positive one in the two brainstorming sessions. The results show that those being shifted first from negative to positive identity condition genera¬ted more ideas than their counterparts. High identifiers with their in-group also generated more ideas than low identifiers. These results are discussed in the light of social identity theories and the brainstorming literature.
Abstract (Original Language):
Bu araştırmada, deneklerin (üniversite öğrencisi) ait oldukları sosyal grup hakkında olumsuz ve olumlu düşünmelerini sağlayan yönergelerle değişimlenen sosyal kimliğin, etkileşim ve nominal (tek başına çalışma) ortamlarda beyin yazımı (düşüncelerin yazılarak paylaşıldığı) modelin¬de düşünce üretkenliğine etkisi incelenmiştir. Sosyal kimlik iki beyin fırtınası oturumu öncesinde olumludan olumsuza ve olumsuzdan olumluya olmak üzere değiştirilmiştir. Sonuçlar olumsuz-olumlu kimlik değişimi koşulunda bulunanların, olumlu-olumsuz kimlik koşulundakilere kıyasla daha fazla düşünce ürettiklerini göstermektedir. Ayrıca, üniversiteli olmaya yönelik kimliklenme düzeyi yüksek olanlar, düşük olanlara kıyasla daha fazla düşünce üretmektedir. Sonuçlar, sosyal kimlik kuramı ile ilgili beyin fırtınası literatürü ışığında tartışılmıştır.
