Through music education, it is expected that the individual will be in a more ealthy,conscious, regular, effective and productive communication with the environment. In line with these expectations, Ordu University's Vocational School of Social Sciences is one of the courses taught in the curriculum in accordance with the elective music lesson Bologna process. In this study, it is aimed to increase the productivity and efficiency at the level of expectations of the students in the course according to the opinions of the students by examining the opinions of the students who are educated in vocational schools in their chosen schools. This research was done in the screening model and the data was obtained by applying the sampling questionnaire. The obtained data were evaluated by statistical analysis. Suggestions have been developed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the courses in the direction of the findings of the students. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the general interest of students in elective music courses is high and their attitudes towards the elective music courses are high. Male students who participated in the survey were more interested in the course compared to female students. The first year higher education students showed more interest to the course compared to the second year students. Suggestions have been developed for the dissemination of the elective music lessons to other units and for efficient content and method acquisition.

Müzik eğitim sayesinde bireyin çevresi ile daha sağlıklı, bilinçli, düzenli, etkili ve verimli iletişim içerisinde olması beklenir. Bu beklentiler doğrultusunda Ordu Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulunda seçmeli müzik dersi Bologna Sürecine uygun olarak öğretim programlarında yerini alan derslerden biridir. Sunulan bu çalışmada meslek yüksekokullarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin seçtikleri müzik dersine yönelik görüşlerini incelenerek öğrencilerin görüşleri doğrultusunda dersin uygulamasında beklentiler düzeyinde verimlilik ve etkinlik arttırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu araştırma tarama modelinde olup belirlenen örnekleme anket uygulanarak veriler elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler istatistik analizler ile değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrencilerin ulaşılan bulgular doğrultusunda derslerin verimlilik ve etkinliğinin arttırılmasına yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin genelinin seçmeli müzik derslerine ilgi ve tutumlarının yüksek olduğu, dersin kredisiz olmasının önemli olmadığı ancak ders saatlerinin arttırılması yönünde görüş bildirdikleri saptanmıştır. Ankete katılan erkek öğrencilerin kız öğrencilere, I. Öğretim öğrencilerinin ise II. Öğretim öğrencilerine göre daha yüksek ilgi ve tutum tespit edilmiştir. Seçmeli müzik dersinin desteklenerek diğer birimlere yaygınlaşması, verimli içerik ve yöntem kazanımı için öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
