DİŞ HEKİMLİĞİNDE MİKROSIZINTI VE İNCELEME YÖNTEMLERİ

MICROLEAKAGE AND THE EVALUATION METHODS IN DENTISTRY

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
Despite of the developing dental technology, microleakage is still an important factor for every dental restoration. Therefore, not only the formation mechanism but also the analyzing methods of the microleakage should be well known by the dentist. In literature, no studies were found reporting successful inhibition of the microleakage completely or a new dental material precluding it. In this study, a review of developing mechanism of microleakage and techniques used in the assessment of the leakage in dental restorations is presented. These techniques include the use of dye penetration, radioisotope, chemical tracers, electrochemical analysis, bacterial invasion, human serum, compressed air, scanning electron microscope and neutron activation analysis
