Elderly people, especially those prone to have serious health problems are particularly important for preventive health services. Frail elderly people predominantly constitute the target population of secondary and tertiary preventive medicine. This review aims to contribute to the proper approach to frequently encountered health problems in the frail elderly.

Yaşlı, özellikle önemli sağlık riskleri olan yaşlı, koruyucu hekimlikte ayrı bir önem taşır. Kırılgan yaşlı olarak tanımlayabileceğimiz bu grup, işlevsel açıdan ikincil ve üçüncül koruyucu hekimlik kapsamında ele alınır. Bu yazı, güncel bilgiler ışığında kırılgan yaşlıda sık görülen sağlık sorunlarında benimsenecek yaklaşıma katkıda bulunmayı amaçlamaktadır
