Abstract (2. Language):
Eye movements support valuable information about the conscious and unconsious responses of participants in various psychological tasks. This study reports on the development of a new eye-tracking system which enables recording and analysis of eye movements, and the employement of the system for a series of experiments. The study has consisted of following sections: (1) Planning and development of the hardware for the eye-tracking system; (2) Planning and development of the software for the eye-tracking system.; (3) Ensuring of the hardware-software compatibility of the system; and (4) The experiments and procedures conducted to show appropriateness of the system. Results of the study indicate that the eye-tracking system has very large array of applicational possibilities, hi addition to that, its user friendliness, flexibility, adaptivity, and cost-effectiveness are the features that make the system advantageous.
