Abstract (2. Language):
One depended on drawings to show others the places not visited and events not being observed individually, before the art of photography widespread throughout the world. Upon the innovation of gelatine in 1880's, widening of use of small-size devices using 9 x 12 cm films and introduction of flash enabling to take picture even under inconvenient light conditions, most of the remarkable technical problems could be solved.
However, the technological level prevailed in those days did not allow to print the photographs in the newspapers. Thus, the initial photographs of the news, that is images printed on the photograph papers, were illustrated by a painter and then could be printed as gravüre using the printing technique called half tone. Naturally, the name of both the photographer and the painter appeared under the gravüre. Yet, the photography for news improved in line with the developments in the press technology.
