Forty-eight adult human skulls presented at laboratories of Anatomy Department of Atatürk University Mediciue Faculty were examined to ascertain variations of the greater palatine foramen. The most common position of foramen was found to be opposite the 3 rd maxillary molar, 14.9 mm. from the palataE midline and 3.9 mm. from the posterior border of the hard palate. Findings are presented and literatür is reviewed.

Atatürk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Anatomi ABD laborafu varında mevcut 48 adult kafatası-Foramen Palatimum Majus (FPM) un lökalizasyonundaki varyasyonları araştırmak için incelendi. En S]k görülen FPM lökalizasyonu; 3. maxillar molar dişin kargısında, sutura palatina mediana'ya ortalama 14.9 mm. ve palatum durum'un arka kenarına ortalama 3.9 mm. mesafede bulundu. Bulgular takdim edildi. Literatür gözden geçirildi.
