Abstract (2. Language):
Sialolithiasis is the formation of calcified structures in salivary' glands and at the salivary ductus. The condition often occurs in the submandibular gland. Diagnosis of sialolith requires complete history of the patient, palpation of the gland and a radiographic evulation. In this article a case of sialolithiasis, diagnosed by computerized tomography and dental radiography procedures, is presented. History of the patient with sialolith revealed that he had undergone, a few years ago, an operation because of a renal stone. The renal stone provided by the patient and the sialolith, which itself proceeded to the mouth of the patient, were analysed. Analysis of the sialolith and the renal stone displayed no similarity in their inorganic composition.
