Through this research, it was aimed to determine the pre-service teachers' perceptions and opinions about global warming. This study was carried out with 395 pre-service teachers. The data in the research were collected through an open-ended question and the questionnaire consisting of 17 items with likert type 5 related to global warming. The quantitative data obtained from the questionnaire used in the research were analyzed using SPSS package program. The qualitative data obtained from an open-ended question were evaluated using the descriptive analysis technique. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that pre-service elementary teachers were aware of the importance of the subject of global warming and they were concerned about the possible consequences of this problem, they had an adequate perception besides they had incomplete and incorrect information and misconceptions about the measures to be taken against this problem.

Bu araştırma ile ilköğretim öğretmen adaylarının sera etkisiyle ilgili algı ve görüşlerinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, 395 ilköğretim öğretmen adayı ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada veriler, küresel ısınma ile ilgili 5'li likert tipi 17 maddeden oluşan anket ve bir açık uçlu soru ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada, kullanılan anketten elde edilen nicel veriler SPSS paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir, açık uçlu sorudan elde edilen nitel veriler ise betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, ilköğretim öğretmen adaylarının küresel ısınma konusunun dünya açısından öneminin farkında oldukları ve bu problemin olası sonuçlarından endişe duydukları, alınabilecek önlemler hakkında bazı eksik ve yanlış bilgilerinin, kavram yanılgılarının olmasının yanında yeterli algıya sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir.
