Assessment centre application is a popular human resources management activity in many countries in the world. It is known that thousands of people are evaluated in industries every year through this method. In the study, the use of assessment centre applications in organizations in Turkey is examined. Data is collected from 47 organizations from various industries in Turkey with the development of a measurement tool in the light of particularly the guideline for AC standards and data from studies in European and North American countries. Research data is gathered from human resources managers of organizations. The obtained results are examined according to general features of assessment centre, job analysis, and evaluation dimensions, features of exercises, additional diagnostic methods, computer usage, features of evaluator, types of information provided and features of decision making.

Değerlendirme merkezi uygulamaları çeşitli ülkelerde oldukça gözde olan bir insan kaynakları yönetimi faaliyetidir. Bu yöntem ile her yıl binlerce çalışanın değerlendirildiği bilinmektedir. Bu araştırmada değerlendirme merkezi uygulamalarının Türkiye'deki organizasyonlardaki durumu incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Özellikle değerlendirme merkezi standartları el kitabından ve Avrupa - Kuzey Amerika ülkelerinde yapılan araştırmalardan yararlanılarak bir soru formu geliştirilerek, Türkiye'de farklı sektörlerde faaliyet gösteren 47 organizasyondan veri toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileri organizasyonların insan kaynakları yöneticilerinden elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar; değerlendirme merkezinin genel özellikleri, iş analizi ve değerlendirme boyutları, alıştırma özellikleri, diğer personel seçim araçları ve bilgisayar kullanımı, değerlendirici özellikleri, adaylara sağlanan bilgi türleri ve karar alma özellikleri bakımdan incelenmiştir.
