THE NEW VOCATIONALISM AND "MEGEP" AS A VIEW OF NEW VOCATIONALIST PARADIGMS IN TURKEY

Abstract (2. Language): 
This paper aims to characterize the new vocationalism and explore new vocationalist paradigms which, intends to strengthen the links between vocational education with labour market and new employer needs by critical approaches against it. This study also evaluate the vocational education reform in Turkey which has been called "Strengthening The Vocational Education and Training System in Turkey" (SVET) as a reflection of the new vocationalism on vocational and technical education. For this purpose, it is indicated several implications about this reform in order to be effective and sustainable in terms of labour market through some critical approaches against the new vocationalism and basic problems of vocational and techinal education in Turkey.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, mesleki eğitimin iş piyasası ve istihdam ile yakın bağlar kurmasını amaçlayan yeni meslekçi eğitim görüşünü tanımlamak, söz konusu görüşü ortaya çıkaran faktörleri açıklamak ve yeni meslekçi paradigmalara ilişkin eleştirel yaklaşımları ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada bu çerçeveden hareketle, yeni meslekçi eğitim anlayışının Türkiye'deki yansıması olan "Mesleki ve Teknik Eğitim'in Güçlendirilmesi Projesi (MEGEP)"nin ana bileşenleri Türkiye'deki mesleki ve teknik eğitimin temel sorunları bağlamında değerlendirilmekte ve yeni meslekçi eğitime yönelik eleştirel yaklaşımlardan yola çıkılarak sözkonusu sistemin işgücü piyasası açısından etkinliği ve sürdürülebilirliğine ilişkin çıkarımlarda bulunulmaktadır.
