Abstract (2. Language): 
In organizations, not only the satisfaction in working life but outer working life or whole satisfaction from life has an effect on the motivation of an individual and ambition for work. From this view the subject of "satisfaction obtained from the working life and life satisfaction" constitutes one of the most interesting subjects of the organizational behavior literature. Many approaches have been suggested for the relation between satisfaction obtained from the working life and life satisfaction. According to some, working life affects the life satisfaction positively or negatively. According to others general life satisfaction affects the satisfaction obtained from the working life. Other than these two approaches mentioned before, absence of relationship between these two concepts is defended, too. When discussing either the satisfaction in the working life affects the general life satisfaction or vise versa, the only certainty on this mailer is ihe existence of the strong relationship between working life and general life satisfaction. In this essay, the relation between the satisfaction obtain from the working life and general life satisfaction would be handled in a theoretical frame.

Örgütlerde, bireyin motivasyonu ve işe yönelik çalışma isteklerinde, sadece çalışma yaşamındaki doyumları değil çalışma dışı yaşmalarının ya da genel yaşam doyumlarının da etkisi bulunmaktadır. Bu yönüyle, "çalışma yaşamından elde edilen doyum ve yaşam doyumu" konusu örgütsel davranış literatürünün ilgi çeken konularından birisini oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma yaşamından elde edilen doyum ile yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişki üzerine pek çok yaklaşım ortaya atılmıştır. Kimilerine göre çalışma yaşamı, yaşam doyumunu olumlu ya da olumsuz etkilemektedir. Kimilerine göre ise, genel yaşam doyumu, çalışına yaşamından elde edilen doyumu etkilemektedir. Bu iki yaklaşımın dışında bu iki kavram arasında herhangi bir ilişkinin olmadığına yönelik yaklaşım da ileri sürülmektedir. Çalışma yaşamındaki doyumun mu yaşam doyumunu etkilediği, yoksa yaşam doyumunun mu çalışma yaşamından elde edilen doyumu etkilediği tartışılırken, kesin olan şeyin, çalışma yaşamı ile yaşam doyumu arasında güçlü bir ilişkinin varlığıdır. Bu çalışmada çalışma yaşamından elde edilen doyum ile yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişki teorik çerçevede ele alınacaktır.
