The teeth presenting fractures of crown root and cervical root regions, are not generally succesfully treated with avalialie traditional treatment models and therefore such teeth are frequently extracted. In the present study, as an alternative of extaction, the outcomes of root implantation in traumatized teeth, wee evaluated. It was noticed that the stabilization of 31 teeth with either crown root or cervical root fractures with interdental sutures and periodontal dressing for a period of one week following reimplantation procedures significantly contributed to the prevention of root resorption. It was demostrated that reimplanted teeth, either following HA application or without HA application, gained mobility which was similar to the physiological mobility within one month and were cosidered to be ready for the performance of a prosthetic restoration within 1.5 month. Therefore, it was suggested that HA implant material could be beneficial in root reimplantation procedures, besides the known indications. Apart from the lokalized and non-proggressive replacement resorption noticed in thrre of the cases, remaining teeth presented normal periodontal repair with the evidence of normal periodontal ligament space width.

Çeşitli nedenlerle meydana gelen kron kök ve servikal kök kırıkların klasik yöntemlerle tedavisi mümkün olmamakta ve genellikle çekilmektedir. Bu şekilde travmaya uğramış dişlerin çekimlerine alternatif bir tedavi yöntemi olan kök reimplantasyonlarının sonuçlan üzerinde değerlendirme yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Reimplante edilen 31 kron kök ve servikal kök kınkh dişin bir hafta süreyle interdental sürür ve periodontal pat ile sta-bilizasyonu kök rezorpsİyonunun gelişmemesi açısından olumlu sonuç vermiştir. Periapikal bölgede HA kullanılarak ve boş bırakılarak reimplante edilen dişlerin bir ayda fizyolojik hareketliliğe yakın bir mobilite kazandıkları ve 1.5 ayda protetik restorasyona hazır hale geldikleri görülmüştür. Üç dişte görülen lokalize ve ilerleyici karakterde olmayan replasman rezorpsiyon dışında bütün kökler normal periodontal aralığın izlenebildiği sağlıklı periodontal iyileşme göstermiştir. HA implant materyalinin dişhekimliğinin diğer kullanım alanlarının yanında kök reimplantasyonların da kullanılabileceği belirlenmiştir.
