Abstract (2. Language):
Definition: Price’s law argues that about half of all the papers in a given discipline will be published by a number of authors equal to the square root of the total number of those who publish in the discipline. Purpose: The purpose of the study is to discuss the meaning, the character and the applicability of Price’s law. Method: After being mentioned the meaning and the character of Price’s law in our study, an example was given to test the applicability of the law. In our example, Price’s law was applied to the literature of intellectual property rights between 1727-2002 in Turkey. For our example, we used the bibliography entitled “Fikir ve Sanat Eserleri, Sınai Mülkiyet ve Rekabet Hukuku Bibliyografyası1727- 2002” prepared by Prof.Ejder Yılmaz and his group. Findings: In the result of our study, it was determined that the observed data from the literature of intellectual property rights between 1727-2002 in Turkey do not support Price’s law.
Abstract (Original Language):
Dr. Ejder Yılmaz’ın ekibiyle hazırladıkları “Fikir ve Sanat Eserleri, Sınai Mülkiyet ve Rekabet Hukuku Bibliyografyası 1727-2002” isimli bibliyografyadan yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmamızın sonucunda 1727-2002 yılları arasında Türkiye’deki fikri mülkiyet hakları literatüründen gözlemlenen verilerin Price yasasını desteklemediği saptanmıştır.
