Abstract (2. Language): 
Investments in the space sector have a greater risk than risk of terrestrial investments. Higher risk makes difficult to find a fund for space investment. For this reason, space investments are financed by public sector. Because of public funding shortage, public sector is forced to choice the most useful space investment in terms of social and economic. The aim of this paper is to reveal the valuation method which helps detect the most useful investment in the space sector in terms of social and economic. As a result of this paper, it revealed that space investments can be evaluate by using net present value, real option and blended value methods. Blended value method is the most appropriate for public sector.

Uzay sektörüne yönelik yatırımların riskleri, karasal yatırımların sahip olduğu risklerden daha yüksektir. Yüksek risk, uzaya yönelik yatırımlar için fon bulmayı zorlaştırır. Bu nedenle de ilgili sektördeki yatırımlar, genellikle kamu kesimi tarafından finanse edilir. Kamusal kaynakların kıt olması, kamu kesiminin, sosyal ve ekonomik anlamda en faydalı olan uzay yatırımına yönelmesini zorunlu kılar. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, uzaya yönelik yatırımlardan sosyal ve ekonomik açıdan en faydalı olanını tespit etmeye yardımcı olacak değerleme yöntemini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışma; uzaya yönelik yatırımların, net bugünkü değer, reel opsiyon ve harmanlanmış değer yöntemleri kullanılarak değerlenebileceğini ortaya koymuştur. Kamu kesimi açısından en uygun yöntem ise harmanlanmış değer yöntemidir.
