Rohinton Mistry has emerged as a significant literary figure during the 20th century. He is an Indo-
Canadian writer. Mistry was born on July 3, 1952 in Mumbai, India. Rohinton earned his Bachelor's Degree in
Mathematics and Economics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai in the year 1973. In 1975, he along with his wife
migrated to Canada where he worked in a bank as a clerk for a short time before returning to his studies. He earned
his degrees in English and Philosophy from the University of Toronto in the year of 1982.
