Abstract (2. Language):
This study includes some evaluations in connection with
polemical matters about letters which the Prophet Muhammet sent
to neigbouring rulers. Specially it is investigated the rumors being
transferred about the letter sent to Kaiser Heraklitus and the
messenger of Prophet. It is inferenced that almost all rumors include
some exaggurated parts. It is considered that they has been
fabricated by Muslims for dignification their Prophet or by some
Christians for appearing nice to Muslims. Then, it is touched on
inconsistencies of the rumor transferred as the meeting of
Heraklitus-Abu Sufyan. Additionally, it is exposed to
inconsistencies on the treatment of Heraklitus about the letter. While
it is made these, it is emphasized on inconvenience of the rumors in
respect of much more historical context than the lameness of rumors’s certificates (Sanads-Isnad) and this context is considered
important.

Bu çalışmada, Hz. Peygamber’in Hükümdarlara gönderdiği
mektuplar hakkında tartışmalı bazı değerlendirmelerde bulunuluyor.
Özellikle bu mektuplardan Heraklius’a gönderilen mektub ve
elçi hakkında aktarılan rivayetler incelenmektedir. Bu rivayetlerin
büyük bölümünde abartılar olduğu sonucuna varılmaktadır. Bu
abartıları ya peygamberlerini övme adına Müslümanların ya da
Müslümanlara şirin görünme adına bir kısım Hıristiyanların uydurduğu
düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca Heraklius Ebu Sufyan görüşmesi
şeklinde aktarılan rivayetin tutarsızlıklarına değinilmektedir. Yine
bu mektup karşısında Heraklius’un tavırlarının tutarsızlığı söz konusu
edilmektedir. Bunlar yapılırken rivayetlerin senetlerindeki zaaflardan
çok tarihsel bağlam itibariyle rivayetlerin uygunsuzluğu
konusu üzerinde durulmakta ve bu konu önemsenmektedir.
