Entrepreneurship is linked in many fields such as sociology, psychology, economics, culture and religion. Despite this, however, there has not been too much review about the relevance with other areas except economy. It is neglected that indeed entrepreneurs are products of their societies, cultures and religions. It is important that to what extent and in what direction these areas affect entrepreneurship. Religion is one of these institutions and accepted that has an impact on economy and entrepreneurship that not be neglected. Religion particularly shows an effect on the economy by affecting characteristics such as work ethic and honesty. In addition, attitudes of religions toward to study and to gain effect and determine the entrepreneurial activities. In this context, religion has a routing effect about initiate or not. This study tries to examine and evaluate the influence of Islamic religion on the entrepreneurship.

Girişimcilik sosyoloji, psikoloji, ekonomi, kültür ve din gibi birçok alanla bağlantılıdır. Ancak buna rağmen ekonomi dışındaki diğer alanlarla olan alakası hakkında pek fazla inceleme yapılmamıştır. Girişimcilerin aslında onların toplumlarının, kültürlerinin ve dinlerinin bir ürünü olduğu ihmal edilmiş ve görmezden gelinmiştir. Bütün bu alanların girişimciliği ne yönde ve ne derece etkilediği önemlidir. Bu kurumlar içerisinde etkisi ihmal edilemeyecek kadar büyük olan unsurlardan birisi de dindir. Din özellikle çalışma ahlakı ve dürüstlük gibi özellikleri etkileyerek ekonomi üzerinde tesir göstermektedir. Bunun yanında dinlerin çalışmaya ve kazanç elde etmeye karşı olan tutumları da girişimsel faaliyetleri etkilemekte ve belirlemektedir. Bu çerçevede din insanların girişimde bulunmaları veya bulunmamaları konusunda da yönlendirici olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada İslam dininin girişimciliğe olan etkisi tespit edilmeye çalışılacak ve bazı değerlendirmelerde bulunulacaktır.
