Abstract (2. Language): 
In this study, a questionnaire was administered to first year students at the ELT Department, Gazi Faculty of Education, Gazi University, in order to gain a view of the effectiveness of the School Experience I lesson in providing the student-teachers with knowledge and experience of the teaching profession and school life. The results obtained show that while the student-teachers believe that the lesson is valuable in that they are given a general idea of the teaching profession, they are unable to communicate effectively with their mentors and the principals of the partner schools.

Bu çalışmada, öğretmen adayıöğrencilere öğretmenlik mesleği ve okul yaşamı konusunda bilgi ve deneyim kazandırmayıamaçlayan Okul Deneyim l dersinin bir değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Bu değerlendirme için Gazi Üniversitesi, Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi İngiliz Dili Eğitiminde okuyan birinci sınıf öğrencilerine bir anket uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular öğretmen adayıöğrencilerin bu dersi çok yararlı bulduklarınıancak uygulama okullarındaki rehber, öğretmenleriyle ve idarecilerle yeterince iletişim kuramadıklarınıgöstermektedir.
