Abstract (2. Language):
One of the discussions in Islamic theology is the sexuality of the prophets. Does it
have a connection if a woman could become the head of country/ president, a judge
and the imam/religious leader to say that prophets might be among woman apart
f r om men? I t was understood that the sexuality of t he prophets wasn't connected with
this matter.
So, to say that women could become a prophet doesn't solve any problem of t he
moslem women today and it doesn't have a meaning except for consisting a
theological inappropriate discussion. This matter isn't phenomenon issue, but it's
intelligence discussion.

İslâm kelamında tartışılan konulardan biri de peygamberlerin cinsiyetidir.
Peygamberlerin erkeklerin ötesinde kadınlardan da olabileceğini söylemenin,
kadınların devlet başkanı, hâkim/yargıç ve imam olup olamayacağı sorunuyla bir
ilişkisi var mıdır diye düşünmüştük. Gördük ki, peygamberlerin cinsiyetiyle söz konusu
sorun arasında bir ilişki bulunmamaktadır. O halde kadınların peygamber olabileceğini
söylemek, bugün Müslüman kadınların hiçbir sorununu çözmediği gibi, kuru kelâmî bir
tartışmadan öte bir anlam ifade etmemektedir. Olgusal olmayan entelektüel/zihni bir
tartışmadan ibarettir.
