The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between the locus of control and self-efficacy in Elementary School Teachers. The sample consisted of229 elemantary school teachers. Teacher Locus of Control Scale (TLOC) developed by Rose and Medway (1981) was used for measuring teachers' locus of control and teacher self-efficacy scale developed by Hoy and Woolfolk (1993) was employed to determine teachers 'self-efficacy. The analysis of the study indicated that teaching self-efficacy was estimated for control of negative events and that personal self-efficacy was estimated for control of positive events. Results were discussed in detail.

Bu araştırmanın amacı ilkokul öğretmenlerinin denetim odaklarını ve öz-yetkinliklerini belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Örneklem 229 ilkokul öğretmeninden oluşmaktadır. Denetim odağını belirlemek için Rose ve Medway (1981) tarafından geliştirilen Öğretmen Denetim Odağı Ölçeği, öz-yetkinliği belirlemek için Hoy ve Woolfolk (1993) tarafından kısa formu oluşturulan Öğretmen Öz-yekinlik Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Sonuçta, ÖÖDOÖ (öğretmenler için denetim odağı ölçeği) olumsuz olayların denetimi öğretimsel öz-yetkinliği ve olumlu olayların denetimi kişisel öz-yetkinliği anlamlı düzeyde kestirmiştir. Sonuçlar ayrıntılı olarak tartışılmıştır.
