Abstract (2. Language):
Studies of Bakhtin often emphasize either his ethical or aesthetic concerns overlooking the inseparability of the two. This paper reviews Bakhtinian thought in the light of the fusion of these two separate but intimately related realms and asserts that Bakhtinian dialogism can be better understood as an ethical as well as an asthetic concept.
