Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of this study was to describe structural and biomotorical features of adolescent basketball players and to evaluate wheter players in different positional roles have different structural and biomotorical features. 79 adolescent basketball players, between 13-19 ages, (26 guard, 30 forward and 23 center) participated in the study. For structural analysis; skinfold thickness, body height and body wieght were measured. For biomotorical analysis; 30 m sprint, vertical jump, flexibility, arm and leg strength were measured. As a result; centers were significantly taller (P=0,001) and heavier (P=0,000) than guards and forwards. There was no significantly differences on player’s age, sport experience age, BMI (Body mass index) and body fat percentage’s values. Besides; gards were significiantly more flexible than forwards and centers (P=0,007). Though there was no significant differences, it is found that gards showed better sprint (4,46± 0,3) and vertical jump performance (33,4±5,1) than the other players. Besides pivots showed better leg (131,8±30,3) and arm strength (108,9±16,7) performance than the other players. In conclusion this study showed that, different playing positions had different structural features but, adolescent basketball players had similar biomotor performance.
