Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this research is to compare knowledge economy to
other systems, consequently to define the knowledge economy and to put
forward its importance and to find out Turkey's placement in knowledge
economy.
There have been three economic systems as agriculture, industry
and knowledge economy respectively so far. Whereas developped countries
such as the USA, EU and Japon entered knowledge economy 25 years ago,
undevelopped countries haven't been able to enter this economy. There is
neither a theory of knowledge economy nor a theorist. In this economy,
knowledge is a factor of production. The most important factors of
knowledge economy are R&D investments, the patents that were taken and
to educate the stuff of this sector.
Knowledge economy is greatly changing the construction of
industrial economy and gradually becoming the economic system of 21 .st
century.
Turkey hasn't stepped into knowledge economy yet. In order to
achieve this, Turkey has to accomplish its industry and shouldn't miss the
importance of knowledge economy.

Bu makalenin amacı, bilgi ekonomisini diğer ekonomik sistemlerle
karşılaştırmak, böylece bilgi ekonomisinin çerçevesini çizerek önemini
ortaya koymak, diğer taraftan ülkemizin bilgi ekonomisindeki yerini tespit
etmektir.
Bugüne kadar sırasıyla tarım, sanayi ve bilgi ekonomisi olarak üç
ekonomik sistem gelişmiştir. ABD, AB, Japonya gibi gelişmiş ülkeler
kısmen de olsa bilgi ekonomisine geçmişlerdir. Geri kalmış ülkeler ise, bu
sisteme geçememişlerdir. Ancak, bilgi ekonomisinin henüz bir teorisi ve
teorisyeni yoktur. Bu ekonomide bilgi bir üretim faktörüdür. Bilgi üretmenin
en önemli faktörleri ar-ge yatırımları, alınan patentler ve bu sektörde
çalışacak elemanları yetiştirmektir.
Bilgi ekonomisi sanayi ekonomisinin bütünüyle yapısını
değiştirmekte ve 21.yüzyılın ekonomik sistemi haline gelmektedir.
Türkiye bilgi ekonomisine henüz adım atamamıştır. Bunu
yapabilmek için sanayileşmesini hızla tamamlamalı, üretim teknolojisinde
ivedilikle değişiklik yaparak, emek yoğun üretim tarzından, bilgi
ekonomisinin üretim şekli olan ileri teknolojiye geçmelidir.
