Abstract (2. Language):
Orthodontic treratment options are prefered for correction of malocclusions and protrusive profile in mandibular alveolar prognathism patients. Orthodontic treatment provides excessive labial movement of maxillary incisors and lingual movement of mandibular incisors while does not make change on typical aspect of skeletal prognathism. Mandibular alveolar osteotomy is an alternative treatment option for mandibular alveolar prognathism as a minor invasive surgical technique. This technique avoids the excessive movement of the teeth and corrects the skeletal prognatic appearance. In this case report, multidisciplinary treatment approach of a young male patient who had a protrusive profile at lower third of the face with thick lower lip and class I skeletal relationship is prensented.
