Abstract (2. Language): 
There is a very rapid attachment loss in early onset periodontitis while loss in adult periodontitis is slower and less. There should be a very close cooperation between orthodontic and periodontal therapies in individuals with periodontitis who need orthodontic treatment. In the treatment planning, physiologic status of the tis¬sues should be considered together with biomecanic procedures. The attachment levels are decreased in individuals with periodontitis as compared to healthy individuals. Formerly, because of the poor prognosis of periodontal effected teeth, they were extracted before orthodontic treatment. In our study; it is aimed to present the periodontal therapies performed pre and post orthodontic treat¬ment of a patient with lokalized aggressive periodonti-tis who applied to our faculty with the need of ortho¬dontic treatment.

Erken dönemde görülen periodontitislerde periodontal ataşmanda çok hızlı ve kısa sürede bir yıkım görülürken, erişkin tip periodontitislerde yıkım daha az ve yavaş biçimde seyreder. Ortodontik tedaviye ihtiyaç duyulan periodonti-tisli bireylerde kombine ortodontik ve periodontal tedaviler arasında çok sıkı bir işbirliği gerekmektedir. Tedavi planlanmasında, biomekanik prensiplerin yanı sıra dokuların fizyolojik durumu da göz önüne alınmalıdır. Çünkü periodontitisli bireylerdeki ataşman düzeyi, sağlıklı bireylere göre oldukça azalır. Geçmiş dönemlerde, periodontal olarak etkilenmiş bir dişin prognozu zayıf veya umutsuz olarak değerlendirilmiş ve ortodontik tedavi öncesi bu dişlerin çekimi yoluna gidilmiştir. Çalışmamızda, ortodontik tedavi gereksinimi ile kliniğimize başvuran lokalize agresif periodontitis-li bir hastaya; ortodontik tedavi öncesi ve sonrasında uygulanan periodontal tedavi prosedürlerinin sunul¬ması amaçlanmıştır.
