Abstract (2. Language):
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of the Er,Cr:YSGG laser and diode laser, used in periodontal surgery, on the surface roughness of various restorative materials. Material and Methods: Three different restorative materials were used in this study. Resin Block, Zirconium Block and Veneering Ceramic. Thirty cylindrical samples (8 mm diameter, 2 mm height) were prepared for each restorative material. The samples were assigned to 3 experimental groups (n=10). Group 1: no surface treatment (control group); Group 2: Er, Cr: YSGG laser (Waterlase iPlus, Biolase, Irvine, CA) application at settings of 1.5 W with 35 Hz laser irradiation for 20 sn; and Group 3: 810 nm diode laser (Epici Biolase, Irvine, CA) application at a setting of 1 W with continuous phase laser irradiation for 20 s. After laser irradiation, roughness of the sample surfaces was measured using a profilometer. Data were analyzed using 1-way ANO VA and Tukey’s Post Hoc test. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM ) analyses were performed to evaluate the surface deformations of the restorative materials. Results: Resin block was the most affected material following the application of the laser. There was a significant difference the between control group and laser irradiation group. Er,Cr:YSGG laser was more effective than diode laser. Although laser treatment increased the surface roughness of porcelain, there was no significant difference between the laser-treated groups. Laser-treated zirconium groups were significantly different compared to each other but there was no significant difference between the control group and the laser groups.
Abstract (Original Language):
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı periodontal cerrahide kullanılan Er,Cr:YSGG ve diode lazerin çeşitli restoratif materyaller üzerine etkilerini incelemekti. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma kapsamında üç farklı restoratif materyal kullanıldı. Bunlar rezin blok, zirkon blok, ve porselen. Her materyalden 30 adet (8 mm çapında, 2 mm kalınlığında) silindirik örnekler hazırlandı. Örnekler 10 diskten oluşan üç gruba ayrıldı. 1. Gruptaki örneklere; herhangi bir yüzey işlemi yapılmadı(kontrol grubu). 2. Gruptaki örneklere; Er,Cr:YSGG lazer (Waterlase iPlus, Biolase, Irvine, CA) 20 sn 30Hz frekans ile 1.5 W güç kullanarak uygulandı. 3. Gruptaki örneklere; 810 nm dalga boyuna sahip diode lazer (Epici Biolase, Irvine, CA) 20 sn 1 W güç kullanılarak uygulandı. lazer uygulandıktan sonra, örnekler yüzey pürüzlülüğü profilometre kullanılarak ölçüldü. Elde edilen veriler tek yönlü ANO VA ve Tukey’in Post Hoc testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.
