According to strategic human resources management approach, organizations should design their human resources practices and functions in parallel with the competitive strategies they pursue. The HRM practices which have been designed consistent with the goals, mission, vision and strategies of the organization is very important to recruit and retain the essential and qualified workforce. In this article which aimed to investigate the differences between human resource management practices of the organizations according to their competitive strategies, firstly the main concepts of strategic human resources management are defined and the relationship between competitive strategies and HRM practices are discussed. In the last part of the study; the results about the relationship/differences between HRM practices and competitive strategies of the first 200 organizations in Fortune Turkey list are presented. This research is significant in terms of showing a perspective about the relationship between competitive strategies and HRM practices of these organizations.

Stratejik insan kaynakları yönetimi yaklaşımına göre günümüzde artık işletmelerin tüm insan kaynaklan yönetimi faaliyetlerini ve fonksiyonlarını, izlemekte oldukları stratejilere uygun bir şekilde tasarlamaları gerekmektedir. İşletmenin amaç, hedef, misyon-vizyon ve stratejilerine uygun olarak tasarlanan ÎKY uygulamaları, ihtiyaç duyulan nitelikte ve yetkinlikte kişileri işe almada ve elde tutmada büyük önem taşımaktadır. Stratejik insan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamalarının, izlemekte oldukları rekabet stratejilerine göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğinin incelenmesine yönelik bu çalışmada, öncelikle stratejik insan kaynaklan yönetimi genel hatlan ile ele alınmış ve rekabet stratejileri ile insan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamaları arasındaki ilişkiye ilişkin açıklamalar yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın araştırma bölümünde ise Fortune Türkiye listesinde yer alan ilk 200 işletmenin ÎKY uygulamalarının rekabet stratejilerine göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğine ilişkin araştırmanın sonuçları açıklanmıştır. Araştırma, Türkiye'deki işletmelerin ÎKY uygulamaları ile izlemekte oldukları rekabet stratejileri arasındaki ilişkiyi gösterme ve ÎKY uygulamalarını bu stratejilere uygun olarak tasarlayıp tasarlamadıklarına ilişkin bir bakış açısı sağlamak açısından önemlidir.
