Abstract (2. Language):
Phosphorus (P) is an essential macronutrient for plant growth and development. Although phosphorus is frequently added the soils in our country and specially the soils in the South-East Anatolian Region (GAP) are at a critical level for normal plant growth due to including high amount of clay, lime and pH. The dynamic of phosphorus in soils is complicated and difficult to explain. In this study the P fractions and the adsorption dynamics of three different soil series, taken from the South-East Anatolian region which has an important place regarding its agricultural potential in Turkey, and where agriculture were performed in broad sense and where the soils contains high amount of lime and clay, using Langmuir isoterms. According to the results of the present study; most of the total P was composed of Ca-P and followed by CDB-P>CB-P>Al-P+Fe-P and b values, adsorption maximums, were among 263-400 |_ig g-1, adsorption energy coefficient (k) varied between 0.70 and 0.76 ml |_ig-1. Because of the complexity and versatility of physical and chemical characteristics P adsorption of soil in arid and semi-arid climate, there is no statistically significant relationship however type of clay and amounts of lime and Fe-oxides are important factors affecting phosphorus adsorption
