Temporomandibular disorders, which is an important issue today are defined as clinical problems involving the masticatory musculature, the temporomandibular joints and associated structures, or both. The treatment of temporomandibular disorders involved soft diet, behavior modification, pharmacotherapy (NSAIDs, muscle relaxants, antidepressants), interocclusal splints, injections (steroids, botox), physical therapy and surgical approachs (arthrocentesis, arthroscopy, open joint surgery). The aim of this paper is to review the treatment choices of temporomandibular joints’ and associated structures’ disorders.

Günümüzün önemli bir sorunu olan temporomandibular bozukluklar, çiğneme kaslarının, temoporomandibular eklem ve ilişkili yapıların bozuklukları, ya da her ikisini içeren klinik sorunlar olarak tanımlanır. Temporomandibular hastalıkların tedavisi yumuşak diyet, davranış değişikliği, ilaçlar (NSAİİ, kas gevşeticiler, antidepresanlar), interoklüzal splint, enjeksiyonlar (steroidler, botoks), fiziksel tedavi ve cerrahi yaklaşımlardan (artrosentez, artroskopi, açık eklem cerrahisi) oluşmaktadır. Bu yazıda, temporomandibular eklem ve ilişkili yapıların bozukluklarının tedavi seçeneklerini gözden geçirmek amaçlanmıştır
