In this study, it was aimed to identify whether styles of leadership or perceptions related to these styles vary according to gender roles. Recently, gradual increase of gender factor on management has directed leadership studies and organizations' attention to this increase. In this study, four dimensioned leadership scale which was developed by Bowers and Seashore was applied to total 1419 students (901 male, 518 female); validity and reliability analysis were done. According to gender factor at the new leadership dimension obtained, some differences were found and it was also found that leadership perceptions of female students had a higher mean compared to the perceptions of male students.

Bu çalışmada, liderlik tarzları ve buna ilişkin algılamaların cinsiyet rollerine göre farklılaşma durumu belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Günümüzde cinsiyet faktörünün yönetim üzerindeki etkisinin giderek artması, liderlik araştırmalarının ve organizasyonların dikkatini bu yöne çekmiştir. Çalışmada Bowers and Seashore tarafından geliştirilen dört boyutlu liderlik ölçeği toplam 1419 öğrenci (901 erkek, 518 kız) üzerinde uygulanmış, geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik çalışması yapılmıştır. Elde edilen yeni liderlik boyutunda cinsiyet faktörüne göre farklılıklar bulunmuş olup, kız öğrencilerin liderlik algılamalarının erkek öğrencilere göre daha yüksek bir ortalamaya sahip olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır.
