Abstract (2. Language):
After accession of Romania and Bulgaria to the EU in 2007, the Black Sea region has become more important for the European Union. First of all, the European Union attaches much importance to stability and security in the Black Sea region. Because, there are many security problems which could easily affect the European Union such as terrorism, organized crime, “Frozen Conflicts” and illegal migration in this region. On the other hand, energy and transportation routes in this region are very important for the EU’s energy security. Furthermore, there are important trade and economic relations between the European Union and the countries of the region. The EU supports to the countries of the region in their efforts making economic and political reforms and provides supports to their economic development efforts. In this context, “European Neighbourhood Policy”, “Black Sea Synergy” Programme and “Eastern Partnership” are most important instruments in the EU’s policies towards the Black Sea region
