Abstract (2. Language): 
The results of a study on the impact of computers on eighty-four businesses i n Turkey are discussed. First of ali, the impacts on the different management functions are identified as perceived by the managers. Controlling, directing, and planning functions are affected most, whereas the organizing and staffîng functions are not signifîcantly affected. Secondly, the successful computer applications areas and the accrued benefîts are listed. A number of application areas requiring computer implementation are given i n priority order. Finally, the problems of incorporating a computer- based Information processing system into an organization are discussed.
