Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of this study is to compare ourfindings of the 87 general anaesthesia applications which we had performed in our dental clinic during 30 months with Üıe findings of other studies and to emphasize the role and importance of general anaesthesia in paediatric dentistry. We had performed ambulatory general anaesthesia applications for the dental treatments of totally 87 children. Their average age was 7.91±3.44years, average weight was 22.77±10.94 kg. De-mographically they were 49 male and 38 female children who belonged to the ASM and ASAII class. The means of results were analysed statistically. According to these analyses we found the mean value of number of conservative dental treatments applied to primary teeth per children as 2.45±3.32) die mean value of number of conservative dental treatments applied to permanent teeth as 1.24±1.98, the mean value of primary teefh extractions as 3.94±4.28 and the mean value of permanent teeth extractions as 0.48±l.ll. The most crowded patient group was the mentally retarded children's group with %40. The least crowded patient groups were the medically handicapped with %3 and the sense organ handicapped with %3. In conclusion, we believe that considering the importance of general anaesthesia applications which have a great role in the dental treatments of the handicapped children, working for more quilified and diffused service and equipment possibilities will be helpful.
Abstract (Original Language):
Bu araştırmanın amacı, 30 aylık zaman diliminde ana-bilim dalımızda genel anestezi altında dental tedavileri gerçekleştirilen 87 çocuğa ait bulguların, benzer araştırmaların sonuçlarıyla karşılaştırmalarını yapmak ve çocuk dişhekimliğinde genel anestezinin Önemini vurgulamaktır. Genel anestezi altında ortalama yaşları 7.91±3.44 yıl, ortalama ağırlıkları 22.77±10.94 kg ve demografik dağılımları 49 erkek, 38 kız şeklinde olan, AS Al, ASAII klasifikasyonuna dahil toplam 87 çocuğa günübirlik dental tedavi uygulandı.
