Abstract (2. Language): 
In this study, in primary schools, the impact of environmental information obtained from formal and informal environment to get students develop attitudes towards the environment has been tried to evaluate. Researching method is descriptive; moreover, the mixed model where the quantitative and qualitative research methods have been evaluated together has been used. In the research, “the environmental attitudes scale for the elementary education students” was applied to 300 students who were studying in totally 4 primary schools in Izmir Bornova district. In the research results, while there are significant differences between students of the grades 4 and 7 in grade 4’s favour, there have not been seen significant differences between different sexes (p> .05). There are not significant differences between the averages of the attitude points that elementary school students have got according to the environment club variable, either (p> .05). There have been found differences in a significant level between academic achievements and attitudes towards the environment of primary/elementary students in successful students favour (p <.05). According to the results of the quantitative and qualitative research, it has been mentioned that environmental activities have to be increased in schools

Bu araştırmada ilköğretim okullarında formal ve informal ortamdan edinilen çevre bilgisinin, öğrencilerin çevreye yönelik tutum geliştirmesine olan etkisi değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma yöntemi betimseldir ayrıca nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin bir arada değerlendirildiği karma model kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada İzmir Bornova ilçesine bağlı toplam 4 ilköğretim okulunda okuyan 300 öğrenciye İlköğretim Öğrencilerine Yönelik Çevre Tutum Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarında 4-7. sınıflar arasında 4’lerin lehine anlamlı farklılıklar ortaya çıkarken kız ve erkek öğrenciler arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmamıştır( p >.05). İlköğretim öğrencilerinin çevre kulübü değişkenine göre aldıkları tutum puanları ortalamasında da anlamlı bir farklılık görülmemiştir ( p >.05). İlköğretim öğrencilerinin akademik başarıları ile çevreye yönelik tutumları arasında başarılı öğrenciler lehine anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir ( p<.05). Nicel ve nitel araştırma sonuçlarına göre okullarda çevre ile ilgili etkinliklerin arttırılması gerektiği konusuna değinilmiştir
