Abstract (2. Language):
Musa Kazım, one of the most discussed intellectual of the last period
of the Turkish-Islamic thought, did his best to present a new
civilization Project. He supported this offer with the principles of
consultation method, equality, freedom and juctice in the frame of
the thought of Islam-politics.
He exhibited a type of intellectual who favors change anda
innovation. He gave lectures to improve the quality of education, and encouraged foreign language education such as the intellectuals of
that time. However, he made steady warnings so that the relations
among the religious sects might not turn into an area of conflicts due
to fanaticism.
Contrary to the conservative Muslims, Musa Kazım Afandi is an
important figure of the progressive intellectual type of the
Constitutional Monarchy period who thinks that the real civilization
can only be possible with a true religion.

Türk-İslâm fikriyâtının son döneminin en çok tartışılan
düşünürlerinden biri olan Musa Kazım, yeni bir medeniyet projesi
sunma gayreti içerisinde bulunmuş, İslâm siyaset düşüncesi
çerçevesinde bu teklifini danışma usulü, eşitlik, hürriyet ve adalet
ilkeleriyle desteklemiştir.
Islahatçı ve yenilikçi bir ulema tipi örneği sergileyen Musa Kazım,
medreselerdeki eğitimin kalitesinin arttırılması hususunda
konferanslar vermiş, dönemin düşünürleri gibi o da yabancı dil
eğitimini teşvik etmiştir. Bununla birlikte mezhepler arasındaki
ilişkilerin fanatizme dönüştürülerek bir çatışma alanı oluşturulması
hususlarında ısrarlı ikazlarda bulunmuştur.
Muhafazakâr İslâmcılarının aksine, Musa Kazım Efendi entelektüel
birikimi olan ve yeni kâmil bir medeniyetin ancak hakikî bir dinle
gerçekleşeceğini düşünen, Meşrutiyetin terakkici aydın âlim tipinin
önemli bir figürüdür.
