Teknoloji, bir okulun en önemli boyutlarından birisidir. Çünkü, teknoloji sayesinde
öğrenciler için birçok yeni öğrenme ve öğretme fırsatları sunulmaktadır. Bu nedenle
sorulması gereken soru şudur: “Teknolojinin okullara entegrasyonu nasıl sağlanabilir?” Bu
çalışmada cevabı aranan başlıca sorular şunlardır: (1) Bilişim teknolojilerinin okullara entegrasyonunu
etkileyen olumlu ve olumsuz faktörler nelerdir? (2) “Seçmeci Okul Teknoloji
Planlama Modeli”ne göre Özel Konya Esentepe Özel Konya Esentepe İlköğretim Okulu’nun
teknoloji profili nasıldır? Bu iki sorunun cevaplandırılmasında ilk önce “içerik analizi
tekniği” yoluyla okul teknoloji planlama sürecine ilişkin modeller ve dokümanlar İnternet
ve Web Siteleri aracılığıyla incelenerek “Seçmeci Okul Teknoloji Modeli” geliştirilmiştir.
Daha sonra, bu modeldeki boyutlara bağlı olarak “Okul Teknoloji Profili Anketi
(OTPA)” geliştirilmiş ve Özel Konya Esentepe İlköğretim Okulu’nda uygulanmıştır. Elde
edilen bulgular, okula özgü olarak yorumlanmıştır. Bu yönüyle bu araştırma, bir durum
çalışması (örnek olay incelemesi) niteliğindedir.

İngilizce Özet: 

Technology is one of the most important dimensions of a school because, with
technology, many new teaching and learning opportunities are provided for the students.
Thus, the question is: “How technology can be integrated in schools?” This study is an
attempt to answer to the following questions: (1) What are the critical factors that affect
technology integration in schools both positively and negatively? (2) How does the
technology profile of the Private Konya Esentepe Elementary School look like with regard
to the “Eclectic School Technology Planning Model”. In answering these two questions,
first, an “Eclectic School Technology Planning Model” was developed based on a
comprehensive analysis of the major documents and models related to school technology
planning found in the Internet and various Web sites. Then, based on the dimensions of the
“Eclectic School Technology Planning Model”, a “School Technology Profile Survey (STPS)” was developed and implemented in the Private Konya Esentepe Elementary
School. Results were interpreted in relation to the study school’s current situation. In this
way, this study is a case study.
