Organizasyonlarda, saldırgan davranış türü olarak sabotaj, bireylere,
organizasyona veya ekipmana zarar vermeye yönelik bir davranışlardır. Beş temel
nedeni vardır: Organizasyon içinde bireylerin güçsüzlüğü, hayal kırıklığı, işleri
kolaylaştırma düşüncesi, sıkıntı veya örgüt içi adaletsizliklerdir. Organizasyon üyelerini,
maddi kaynakları veya organizasyonun bütününü hedef alan sabotaj davranışlarında
temel amaç zarar vermek veya verdirmektir. Organizasyon ve bireyler üzerindeki
olumsuz etkilerini giderebilmek için sabotajın etkili biçimde yönetilmesi gerekmektedir.
Yönetiminde iki temel yaklaşım bulunmaktadır. Birincisi, proaktif olarak adlandırılan ve
sabotaj türü davranışların ortaya çıkmasını engellemeye yönelik tedbirlerden oluşan
yaklaşımdır. İkincisi ise, reaktif olarak ifade edilen, sabotaj ortaya çıktıktan sonra
alınacak tedbirlerden oluşan yaklaşımdır. Sabotaj, organizasyonel yapıyı, çalışanları,
müşterileri ve mali kaynakları olumsuz etkileyen bir saldırgan davranış türü olarak,
mutlaka yöneticiler tarafından dikkatle izlenmesi gereken bir örgütsel davranış alanıdır.

Sabotage is a kind of aggressive behavior which tends to harm individuals and
to damage equipment and organization. There are five basic reasons of sabotage:
Powerlessness, organizational frustration, boredom, facilization of work and injustice in
organizations. The main purpose of sabotage which are directed to organization
members and the tangible sources of organizations is to damage. To perevent its negative
effects on organizations and members, sabotage shold be effectively managed. There are
two main approaches for preventing sabotage. The first is called proactive approach and
is formed by precautions aiming to hinder sabotage. The second is reactive approach
which is formed by precautions taken after appereance of sabotage. Sabotage as a kind
of aggressive behavior affecting employees, customers, organizational structure and
financial sources negatively is an organizational behavior area that should be observed
carefully by managers.
